You probably don't have to have this little tool but it does work great and does ensure you don't apply too much pressure on the elevation sight pin. I have used and it works as expected.

Wanted an extra one so I could keep one with the firearm and one at home in my firearms toolbox, and the price was quite reasonable. Not much more you can say about this kind of thing.
